- Have a good understanding of technical English
DRAFT
We can’t reproduce here a method for learning English efficiently. But these are some ideas that can help you:.
- Try to take a language course where you are
- Consider spending some time in a country to practice your English
- Subscribe to Duolingo or another phone app to learn English
- Buy a grammar book (such as “English Grammar in use” - Fifth Edition with answers - from Raymond Murphy) and complete one lesson per week
- Watch technical review videos on Youtube in English to train your listening skills
- English training on Youtube, e.g. https://youtube.com/@riveraeslresources?si=r3r_kXCbL2K8LYnE
- Try to organize regular meetings via Zoom with an English speaker to practice your speaking skills (Mission Assist offers this service for free). SIL also offers an online English curriculum (1:1), for more information you can write to Karen Bradley (English Team Assistant & Teacher Language & Culture Learning SIL International) karen_bradley@sil.org
